Valour Stacks (STX) is an exchange-traded product that tracks the price of STX, the native token of the Stacks network. Stacks is a Layer 2 solution on Bitcoin that brings smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to the Bitcoin ecosystem. It uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of Transfer (PoX), which connects Stacks to the security of the Bitcoin blockchain. STX is used for paying transaction fees, staking (called “Stacking”), and governance. The network aims to unlock more functionality for Bitcoin without changing its base layer.
